A Prince of a Book
How do people seize power, hold it, use it and lose it. The book clearly uses illustrations and practical advise. I really enjoyed reading the book and found the insights helpful in the everyday work environment. To bad it is so hard to find.

Wonderful text for finance students
I bought this book for a finance course, i audited.Book covers in detail about various option pricing models(CAPM,Single Index, Multiple Index). Portfolio analysis is covered in detail plus seperate chapter on International Diversification.Arbitrage Pricing Model(APT) is compared against CAPM, this might be essential in chosing efficient portfolio.

Also includes selecting efficient portfolio. Bond pricing with detail explanation of Black-Scholes model is the best chapter .

The authors have given a detail explanation of all financial terms, which doesnot make this book daunting for novices. Best part is the various references at the end of which chapter which provide for additional information.

This is a must have book for anybody intersted in finance.

Morning Exercises
Published in Hardcover by Calvary Pr (01 November, 1998)
Author: William Jay
Average review score:

No fluff here!
The Author, William Jay, was an accomplished architect and preacher second only to Spurgeon. The old-style formal English in which he writes takes a bit getting used to but that is the only down side of this book. The author takes one verse per day from the Bible and writes about it. His commentary is very deep and very inspirational.
I would not recommend this book for new Christians but rather for those who are well read and looking for something to really sink their teeth into. William Jay is not only inspirational but he drives home important messages from Scripture that the reader may have overlooked in the past. I highly recommend this book!

This is probably one of the best books you could be so fortunate to encounter. It is said to be interactive, that is almost an understatement. Every page has a three dimensional working model.

A Mother's Kisses

Authors: Bruce Jay Friedman and Stanley Kauffmann

Funniest book ever written
I read this back in the early 60's when I was about 14 or so. I am still laughing. You will not believe the way this guy writes. It is indescribable. If you are lucky enough to come upon a copy, buy it. You will be so glad you did. Bruce Jay Friedman is a national treasure. His take on life is at first glance quite askew..but, upon further reading, you will find that he "writes" like you "think." I've never experienced this with any other writer. Check out his other books, as well...especially the Lonely Guy's book of Life.

My Fair Lady
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Signet Book (May, 1978)
Author: Alan Jay Lerner
Average review score:

There's nothing else I can say, Bravo!
I am Ryan and I read this book for my chorus class when we were required to read a book as a school requirement. I don't really have a passion for reading but I've always heard about "My Fair Lady" and when I was looking for a book to read at our school library, I accidentally saw it. After I read it, I would say that it is one of the best books that I've ever read. The story is really amazing and I believe in their point that language can change the image of a person. Together with a person's actions, the way he speaks can tell so much about him. I recommend this wonderful romantic story to anyone!

Naked at the Interview : Tips and Quizzes to Prepare You for Your First Real Job
Published in Paperback by John Wiley & Sons (February, 1994)
Author: Burton Jay Nadler
Average review score:

Best resource for recent college grads!
This book was used in a class my senior year of college. It proved to be very helpful, and even now 6 years and 3 jobs later I still find myself using it as a guide. I'm not sure if it's been updated since 1996, so it may be missing some of the web and email tips, but it's still the best solid advice I've seen in all my searching for job books.

Naval Strategies of the Civil War: Confederate Innovations and Federal Opportunism
Published in Paperback by Cumberland House (17 July, 2001)
Author: Jay W. Simson
Average review score:

A much appreciated contribution to Civil War studies
Journalist and Civil War expert Jay Simson's Naval Strategies Of The Civil War: Confederate Innovations And Federal Opportunism is the first book to compare and contrast the strategies of the Southern Secretary of the Navy, Stephen R. Mallory, against his rival in the North, Gideon Welles. Mallory had to use technological innovation and the skill of individuals to bolster the South's seapower against the Union Navy's superior numbers. Meanwhile, Welles had to adapt to the more bureaucratic dictates of the Union's White House. One of Welles' first tasks was the naval blockade of the South, but he did not limit himself to just that. Naval Strategies of the Civil War looks at the very different approaches of two men, with historical lessons about the art and the horror of war to be derived from close study. Naval Strategies Of The Civil War is a much appreciated contribution to Civil War studies and very highly recommended for both Civil War and American naval history buffs.
